      For karts special 4-stroke engines and 2-stroke engines are produced. As a rule, 4-stroke engines are used in a category "rental kart". As the demands to reliability of these engines constantly increases not a great number of companies are occupied with their production. Every firm suggests some types of engines, that differ with the types of
assemblies (carburetors, ignition systems and so on) and characteristics. It's possible to buy either cheap and popular engines or more expensive and high-class ones. Kart engines are used either with a gear or without it. The torque in such kind of engines is handed through centrifugal clutch on a reduction gear. Output gear shaft is joined the rear axel through the chain.
        It's possible to change kart gear ratio between output shaft of the gear and the rear kart axel. The range of the gear ratio should provide the highest kart's speeding-up and at the same time, to develop the highest speed on the longest straight part of the track.
        Gear ratio is the attitude of no. of teeth of sprocket on the rear axel to no. of teeth sprocket on output shaft of gear. In order to get optimum calculation of the gear ratio special computer software exist.
